Trending News: You Can Get Paid to Review Private Jets, Islands, and Supercars
Think being paid to be a kicks expert is the dream job? What about working on Sir Richard Branson’s private island? Well, those sound great but a U.K.-based company is now advertising for what it’s calling “the world’s best job.” And you know what? They just might be right.
HushHush, a luxury marketplace and VIP concierge service that sells private jets, jewelry, and property, is on the lookout for a product tester.
The deal is simple: HushHush will pay an annual salary of about $97,000 (or 75,000 pounds), and in return, you are required to “test supercars, yachts, and private islands.” No typo.
What Is HushHush Anyway?
HushHush is a London-based online portal for everything from art and luxury watches to properties and yachts. In short: If you have an obscene amount of money, HushHush is a good place to spend it.
But you can’t peddle just any ol’ diamond-encrusted antique to the rich and famous. HushHush needs someone to review products before they’re listed for its high-end customers — and that someone might as well be you.
“Some of the most expensive items appearing on our website include a 62 million pound French chateau, a 55 million pound jewel-encrusted watch, a 47 million pound super yacht, and an 18 million pound Legacy jet,” the job advertisement says. (Translation? That’s an $80 million chateau, $71.2 million watch, $60.8 million yacht, and a $23.3 million jet.)
Do You Have Experience in Aircraft, Jewelry, or Supercars?
So what does the gig entail? “As a Product Tester, the successful candidate will be expected to test similar products for their style, comfort, performance, and suitability for the site, and produce a thorough report on every item,” the job advertisement says.
You’ll also be required to “travel extensively,” since the job involves reviews of “private islands and properties for sale around the world.” Other skills required include sociability, discretion, and excellent communication skills so you can liaise successfully with those supplying the Ferraris, Bombardier jets, and Airbus helicopters.
And while the pay is pretty darn good for such a cush job, it sounds like you’ll get to enjoy all of the luxuries without having to spend a dime of that hard-earned money.
